Description
First commercial edition of this famous collection of poems by Pascoli. This edition is preceded by the publication of a small booklet of only 22 compositions on the occasion of the wedding of his brotherly friend Raffaele Marcovigi in an edition of only 100 copies. In this second edition, indicated by Maria Pascoli herself as "actually the first", the number of poems rises to 72 and is preceded by a re-enactment of San Mauro and the sad family events of the poet, linked to the dedication of the collection to her father Ruggero , placed after the title page; in the next edition in 1894 it will be replaced by a different preface.
