Description

Second edition of this catalog of the first International Art Exhibition of the "Secession", organized at the Palazzo delle Esposizioni in Rome. This movement, born in Rome in 1912, represented an important opportunity for the Italian artistic culture of the time to meet and exchange with contemporary European avant-garde currents, especially French and Austrian. In fact, a room is dedicated to the French Impressionists where, alongside the classics Monet, Renoir, Pissarro, Morisot, Bonnard and Matisse also appear. Among the Italian artists present Rembrandt Bugatti, Spadini, Ciardi, Marussig, Disertori, Oppo, Tosi, Casorati. One room is entrusted to Plinio Nomellini and two to the sculptors Paul Troubetzkoy and Auguste Rodin. With 70 b/w plates ft
